Following Syrian Army blitzkrieg advances in Idlib province, first Hamediyah base in south of Maarat al-Numan and then Kafr Roma town in west of Maarat al-Numan were liberated. Liberation of Kafr Roma town put the Maarat al-Numan into full siege and then Syrian Army entered the town and liberated it from Tahrir al Sham terrorists and its allies.
ISWNews Analysis Group: On 27 January, following the advances of Syrian Army in north and south of Maarat al-Numan, more than ten points and villages were liberated from the terrorists occupation.
The Syrian Army liberated the villages of Maar Shorin and Zaalana in the northeast of Maarat al-Numan, and then crossed the Aleppo-Damascus highway, and the villages of al-Dana and Babila came under the control of the Syrian Army.
